He's been doing this for over 20 years. Talk about job security. Shooting awards shows are fun but a lot of work. he says he takes over 5000 shots throughout the day. whoa.
This Month I was able to work with a bunch of great people. Here are some of my favorite images and Video
I've been on a shooting spree lately and I have been feeling real creative. Here are a few shots from my recent shoots. Final images will be done soon.
A month ago the guys at StuffFlyPeopleLike.com ask me shoot their April Digital Issue Cover. It was a old school renaissance look and I was excited to shoot. We shot at Harlem Haberdashery which was the perfect setting. I was very pleased with the shoot and the final images. Check out the photos and a little behind the scenes action. And also head over HERE to read the great article with him.
Here is the trailer for "Who Shot Rock & Roll' A few years ago when i was starting photography me and my friend Erika (@RiotRed) went to the Who Shot Rock & Roll Exhibit at Brooklyn Museum. I got goosebumps from all of the great photos that were shot back when there were only a few photogs in the game. I ended up buying the book and I'm sure I will be seeing this when it comes out.
I love behind the scenes videos because it helped me look at how real photoshoots are produced. From the lighting position, studio used, and the overall experience Check out this video of Vibe Magazines shoot with Deadmau5 for his cover shoot.
Every photographer should read this! This is a great infographic that I found on F-Stoppers which illustrates the problems with jumping into the photography game and what you can do to make your experience a great one. I wish I had this when I first started but I am glad that I was able to learn most of this the hard way and adapted to make this my way of living.
I recently went to Panama for a much needed vacation and I must say that this was a great place to visit. I think I am falling in love with Central American countries. I went to Nicaragua last year and that was the best vacation I have ever had. While in Panama, we stayed in a great villa and went around town to eat, shop and see the great Panama Canal. Check out some of the photos from the trip.
I love shooting lookbooks because it gives the brand to show how and who the believe is their perfect customer for the line and it gives life to it. Superstudio went to Buenos Aires to shoot a 5 day lookbook shoot for their client NN07 with models and locals in the area. This BTS video gives a great look at how they did it and how much fun it must have been. Via: F-Stoppers
Here's a shot if me shooting French Montana for Bleu Magazine at Daddy's House in NYC. (shout out to Troi, my intern)
This day was hectic. Last minute site change which let to a blind shoot but we were able to get 3 great looks out of the loungey area. Be sure to check back to see finished images
Seen this post on F-Stoppers and it definitely applies to me and the majority of photographers and entrepreneurs out there. I've learned to not always try to be nice and fair because sometimes the work that is asked for is not nice or fair. I've learned to negotiate and realize that there will be other jobs... Hope you like it..
